Several Globalscope campus ministry students have recently stepped up to visit other Globalscope teams for varying lengths of time to gather ideas and inspiration to take back home. Globalscope Assistant Director Kami Reed shares two students’ stories and perspectives here, along with comments from their home ministry leaders.
Kevin Jones grew up in Los Angeles, so naturally as a kid he dreamed of being part of the entertainment industry or a marine biologist.
More than 115 university students from Globalscope’s two South American campus ministries were recently united by their love of Christian community at the El Oasis retreat in the coastal town of El Tabo, Chile.
What did you do on your spring break?
Five Globalscope campus ministers and six students from the El Pozo ministry in Puebla, Mexico, used their break to build a house for a young family in need.
Alexandra was a student who went to university and didn’t want anything to do with church or Jesus.
Euroscope, the annual gathering of Globalscope campus ministers serving in Europe, was held in Nottingham, England, in April, and Christine Barber and her team can now breathe a sigh of relief that all went well.
This team is looking for at least one more teammate to be a part of Globalscope’s Unterwegs campus ministry in Freiburg, Germany.
Over the last few months, three Globalscope campus ministers have traveled between ministries, leaving their comfortable home bases to provide a change of perspective, a renewed vision and a fresh batch of new ideas.
