“Much like you in the U.S.,” says Globalscope campus minister Tim Crabtree “our lives and work have seen drastic changes recently.”
In Tübingen, Germany, home of an Unterwegs campus ministry, strict measures are in place for people to stay at home and most businesses are closed. And non-profits like churches and Unterwegs cannot open again for meetings until mid-June, which will be about halfway through the summer semester.

When Globalscope campus minister Tony Cole started to write “April” in the subject line of a recent email to his U.S. ministry partners he found himself laughing, because, as he puts it, “it seems like every day is like a month now! I’m just going to call it “Corona-Time.”
Taylor Roush first connected with CMF Globalscope on a short-term trip to the El Pozo campus ministry in Puebla, Mexico, and knew that the awesome community she found there was “what I wanted my life to look like!”

Greg and Eli Klass grew up thousands of miles apart, but the Christian influences in their young lives led both of them to the Globalscope El Oasis campus ministry in Santiago, Chile. That’s where they met, married, and now serve together. They recently stopped by our home office for a visit and shared a little about how it happened, how it works, and the amazing new thing they will be doing together.
Although they are spread out over three different countries, the CMF Globalscope campus ministers in Uruguay, Chile and Mexico share a common language and similar context and mission. The idea of getting together to share dreams and ideas that has been on the back burner for a couple of years finally gelled into the first-ever Latinscope in Lima, Peru, in early February.
Campus ministry “wasn’t on my radar at all” says Canvas Nottingham team leader Christine Barber, who was studying to be a teacher. Then a trusted friend suggested she try a semester as an exchange intern with the Globalscope campus ministry in Birmingham, England.
Allison previously served as an exchange intern with this ministry in Santiago and now she can’t wait to go back long-term to use her degree in Spanish and enjoy the relational, open and welcoming culture of Chile. She also hopes to share her love of rock-climbing with students and draw them into the El Oasis Christian community.
