For years, our team working with entrepreneurs in Mexico City prayed for a name and identity that truly reflected who they were becoming. Their work had been steadily forming since 2021—shaped, refined, and strengthened through seasons of building and rebuilding. What began as a temporary name, “Marketplace México,” served as a starting point, but everyone sensed that something more fitting was still ahead.
Mariana Luna, a Christian, a business owner and a community development leader in Mexico City, is on a mission to demonstrate that there are “more ways to serve God than just in church work!”

CMF will launch a Marketplace Ministry team in Mexico City in 2021 to launch a Business Training Academy that will focus on developing Kingdom entrepreneurs.
Hugo Fortis and Mariana Luna de Fortis are entrepreneurs who founded a web development company based in their hometown of Mexico City with their business partner. But they are also dedicated “tentmaking” ministers who have served for years with CMF’s local church planting and CHE projects.
A REACH internship in micro-finance projects in Kenya drew business graduate Josh Durand to a role in a new CMF Marketplace Ministries initiative.
