David and Teresa Fittro are celebrating 32 years of ministry with CMF in England. They currently serve as leaders of EQUIP Britain International, an immersive, hands-on mission training opportunity in Birmingham, one of the most diverse cities in the world. Their time in England, living among the people they are called to serve, has taught them much about the art of hospitality.

As their university term came to an end, students in the Globalscope Canvas ministry in Birmingham, England, finally were able to spend time in person together. So, the Canvas team — Tom and Jenna Gallant, Luke Caldwell and Taylor Batte — decided to show the students how much they are loved and valued with a “Week of Fun.”
Jerod’s experience as an Exchange Intern with CMF in Spain, and his involvement with The Table campus ministry at Oklahoma State University, have led him to serve with Canvas in Birmingham, England.
A request from a friend who had previously taken Alpha, an 11-week course that explores the basics of the Christian faith, has led CMF team members Timothy and Tammy Aho to start two new online study groups for the course in Birmingham, England.
Despite the maximum restrictions of the third lockdown in Great Britain, Tom and Jenna Gallant and the Globalscope campus ministry team at Canvas in Birmingham, England, are implementing fresh and creative ideas for the new university term.
Although Birmingham, England, is farther north than Quebec and just as far north as some of the Aleutian Islands of Alaska, CMF team members Jeff and Megan report that significant snowfalls are uncommon. But a recent snowstorm led to building some important bridges with the neighbors in the family’s new neighborhood!
She’s a four-year veteran of the Globalscope Canvas team in Birmingham, England, and Taylor Batte planned to continue with the ministry “until I felt called to something else.” But then that “something else” came along, and Taylor will spend next year helping pioneer a Globalscope-style space to develop a community of young professionals in her city.
