Recent Georgia Tech graduate Lauren Hessler thought she was going to start looking for a great job as a biomedical engineer, but instead she’s going to serve college students at the Roots campus ministry in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Mitchell Hancock: ‘I’m going to Spain with Globalscope!’
Mitchell grew up as the son of CMF missionaries Todd and Tonja Hancock in Mexico, so his fluency in Spanish will be a huge asset to the campus ministry team in Salamanca, Spain. In addition, his Milligan College degree that focused on photojournalism and graphic design will aid the team in its ministry to university students.
Globalscope Celebration: ‘Inspired and encouraged for ministry’
Seventy-two campus ministers gathered in Cholula, Puebla, Mexico, in July for Globalscope’s annual Celebration. Members of the Globalscope steering committee, CMF staffers, invited guests, and children brought the total to 121 CMF-related people who were together in Cholula for the entire week.
REACH intern: ‘I know we’ve made a difference here!’
As she closed out her summer as a REACH intern with Grapevine, the Globalscope campus ministry in Bangkok, Thailand, Burgundy Zorn reflected on some of the events that helped her realize that her stay, while brief, had made a difference for God.
Brett McClain: ‘I’m going to Scotland with Globalscope!’
Brett McClain didn’t grow up in the church but connected with God at Christian Campus Fellowship at Georgia Tech. He’s now an experienced campus minister after serving with CCF for the past two years and is passionate about it. He knows the kind of life change that can happen there, “because it happened to me!”
