For more than 30 years, CMF missionaries Aaron and Diane Lincoln have invested their lives in ministry in England. Since moving there in 1993, they have been deeply involved in church planting, discipleship, community engagement, and leadership development across multiple contexts. Today, they live in Gloucester, where they serve with a young church plant while also helping train and support emerging church leaders.
Tyler and Shalynn Crawford serve in the university city of Tübingen, Germany where they were originally part of our campus ministry there called Unterwegs. During those years working with college students, the Crawfords formed a ministry partnership with the Kreuzkirche, a local church in Tübingen. The church supports the work of Unterwegs and, in 2020, invited the Crawfords to expand their work beyond university students and into new age groups. Here Tyler shares about a recent live national broadcast from the church.
Eight years ago, after decades of fruitful ministry in Kenya, CMF’s Kenya Church Catalyst Team (KCAT) embraced a bold new direction. Having helped establish strong, independent churches and trained countless pastors, the team shifted their focus: they wanted to help the Kenyan church become a missionary-sending force. Their renewed mission—Unhindered Disciple-Making—and vision—to catalyze Christ’s Kingdom expansion in Kenya and beyond—were born out of a desire to see Kenya, once a mission field, become a launching pad.
Recently the village of Nakalorlor in northwestern Kenya hosted a three-day discipleship training. This community has had a church for a little over a year now, and our Kenya Church Catalyst team decided it was time to have a level two DMM (Disciple Making Movements) training there.
“Not everyone is called to go, but everyone is called to wrestle with going.” It was those words from David Platt at a conference her freshman year of college that convicted Anna Thormodsgard and started her missions journey.
Dylan Ferguson understands how music can lead to intimate communion and relationship with God because he has been involved with music and worship arts in his home church, Wildewood Christian Church in the Omaha, Nebraska area, since he was in high school.
Parker Habermehl is a senior at Ozark Christian College getting a degree in Biblical Communications with a minor in Organizational Leadership. He is from Roanoke, Texas, and feels called to serve in full-time ministry after graduation.
Sam and Becca Loibor-Mongi are currently preparing to serve in Kenya with our Church Catalyst team. Sam will work within ongoing Disciple Making Movement (DMM) initiatives there, as well as help with leadership development within Community Christian Church (CCC) churches.
Michael Grimm is preparing to go to Mexico City to serve with the Church Catalyst team to support the ministries that are already taking place there.
