Dylan Ferguson to join the CMF team in Ethiopia

Dylan Ferguson understands how music can lead to intimate communion and relationship with God because he has been involved with music and worship arts in his home church, Wildewood Christian Church in the Omaha, Nebraska area, since he was in high school.

During his freshman year of college, he joined the church staff part-time, leading high school worship and serving on the worship team. In May of last year, he graduated with a worship arts degree from Hope International University and went full-time with the church later that summer. Dylan says that “leading the worship arts program has allowed me to prayerfully dream big, inviting both the congregation and members of the team to more freely worship God through the art of music.”

But it was a year ago, at a youth camp, where an encounter with CMF missionaries from Kenya would change his life. He felt that pull on his heart, explored his options, and landed on Ethiopia as his future place of service.

Dylan will focus on serving in the impoverished communities of Addis Ababa, the sprawling capital city of Ethiopia, home to millions of people. As Dylan says in the video below, he is looking forward to seeing how God is going to weave his passion for music into connection points with the Ethiopian people, a culture that shares a passion for music.
