When CMF team member Preston Coursey and his community development team in rural Thailand began to pray that God would open the way for more personal relationships with people in the village, he was amazed at how quickly his prayer was answered.
In the mid-1980s, the Turkana people in Kenya were an unreached people group who were resistant to the life-changing message of the gospel.
Thanks to CMF’s faithful partners, however, the ministry has grown from a handful of disciples to a church-planting movement with thousands of new disciples, to a disciple-making/church- planting movement over the past three years.
The Farming God’s Way agricultural team from AgriStewards, Lebanon, Ind., returned to Kenya this spring to assist with the Missions of Hope International (MOHI) farms, and found many things to cheer about, according to team leader Brian Smith.
The farms in Turkana, Kenya, are exploding with the growth of new crops, providing food and a livelihood for the farmers who work with the CMF garden projects, according to team member Gene Morden and Kenyan farm manager Haron Jackson.
