West Africa: Classes for young women emphasize holistic health
Two CMF team members in West Africa are investing in groups of young women with a wide-ranging series of classes on holistic health.
Tabitha Hauser, who has served with her husband Brian and family for many years in a Muslim-majority country, and Sara Garringer, a more recent addition to the team, have developed a series that covers the physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual aspects of the health of young women.
“Tabitha’s role is to draw the young women into the drama of God’s salvation through Bible storying,” said Brian Hauser. “Starting from Creation, she invites the young women into God’s big story of redemption.
“Sara, a former physical education teacher, does a great job of educating the young women on the different aspects of their health as they become adults,” he added. “She emphasizes the honor women share in being created in the image of God.”
