Pathway Church and CMF remember Gene Carlson

CMF and Pathway Church, Wichita, Kansas, are mourning the passing of the church’s retired Senior Pastor, Gene Carlson, on Saturday, March 28.

Gene was a staunch supporter of missions and served as a CMF board member for about 25 years. He led Pathway to support mission work in Ethiopia, Indonesia, Asia and several other places for many years, and that support continues in many fields today.

He served as pastor of Pathway for 42 years, from 1964 to 2006, and his legacy of faith and influence has affected lives not only in the Wichita community, but literally all over the world.

His obituary includes this tribute: “Above all, Gene loved to serve the Lord and teach and traveled the world as a disciple, teaching others to do the same.”

A memorial service was held for Gene on April 3, 2020.
