Climb Kilimanjaro in July 2024!

Do you have what it takes to reach the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro?

It’s the highest peak on the African continent and the highest free-standing mountain in the world, rising in breathtaking isolation from the surrounding coastal scrubland to a height of 19,341 feet.

But Kilimanjaro is also one of the world’s most accessible high summits, requiring no technical climbing experience. Most climbers reach the crater rim with little more than trekking poles, proper clothing and determination. The porters carry all your gear, so you only need to get yourself and your day pack up the mountain. Anyone in good health who has spent some time in training and preparation can do this.

But there’s so much more to Kilimanjaro than her summit. The ascent of the slopes is a virtual climatic world tour, from the tropics to the arctic. This is an adventure you don’t want to miss!

Step Boldly!

You can step boldly up Kilimanjaro with CMF July 1-11, 2024!

Imagine the rush of adrenaline, the majestic views, your sense of accomplishment and the memories you’ll make on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

But this trip is more than just an opportunity to cross something off your “bucket list.” By climbing Kilimanjaro with CMF you’ll be stepping boldly for a bigger purpose. Your efforts can inspire others to get involved and to give to the Missions of Hope International (MOHI) ministry in Kenya.

Our challenge for you

Our ultimate challenge to you is to use your Kilimanjaro climb as an opportunity to transform lives through Christ’s love.

We want you to be one of a select group of 35 people who climb Kilimanjaro. As part of your overall experience, you will commit to raise/give $5,000 (minimum) to support the HOPE Sports Ministry at Missions of Hope International (MOHI) in Nairobi, Kenya.

Our goal is to raise $250,000 from our 35-member climbing crew. These funds will be used for the Hope Sports Ministry for sports programming, equipment and to build multipurpose sports fields at MOHI schools.

The Hope Sports Ministry helps children from the poorest communities in Kenya learn leadership and problem-solving skills, while inspiring good character, self-esteem and confidence. Trained coaches will not only teach the skills of soccer, but also disciple each child to develop his or her identity in Jesus Christ.

As the children learn the skills of soccer, they need a place to practice and play! CMF wants to build a multi-purpose soccer field on the campus of the Joska school, outside Nairobi and another in Mathare, in the Nairobi slums.

MOHI is a Kenyan led-ministry and partner of CMF. More than 15,000 children attend its 19 schools throughout Kenya. To learn more about the history and growth of MOHI, click here.

Fulfill a life dream, leave a life legacy

This adventure of a lifetime trip provides you with an opportunity to fulfill a life dream and change the lives of children who live in poverty.

The money you raise through your climb will transform the lives of these children through Christ’s love. We’ll give you some tools, ideas and your personal online fundraising page to help you reach your goal. We encourage you to ask your friends, work associates, relatives, and church groups to give to help these girls find hope and opportunity.

The money you raise and/or give will go to our MOHI Hope Sports Ministry mission project. MOHI students receive excellent educations in their schools, but this project will provide opportunities for a more well-rounded experience, with additional resources to help develop the children’s bodies and characters as well as their minds.

Your friends and associates will be amazed when you tell them you’re climbing Kilimanjaro and they’ll be encouraged to give when you ask them to sponsor your climb to help the children at Missions of Hope. Our goal is for each climber to raise $5,000 or more for a total team goal of $250,000. All gifts are tax deductible.

We’ll help you create your own online fundraising page on the CMF website to use and to share with your network on various social media channels to make giving quick and easy for them.

What climbers from our previous treks had to say

    • “You will learn there's more in you than you imagined. You will experience God at work in you, in others, and through MOHI. You'll discover the lengths you will go to for the good of others. You will feel alive physically and spiritually!”
    • “You help raise funds for a cause bigger than yourself and you get to meet new people and share an experience that will challenge you and that you will remember for the rest of your life!”
    • “Trip of a lifetime, a should-not-miss opportunity!”
    • “It is not the mountain top that was rewarding but the journey and friendships made along the way.”
    • “It's a bucket list climb for a hugely worthy cause!”
    • “Climbing Kilimanjaro is a once in a lifetime opportunity. But going through CMF allowed me to not only do this for myself but to help others. There was a purpose other than reaching the summit. Don't do this just for you. Do it to raise money and awareness for children in Africa. You will learn a lot about yourself through this journey. Don’t let the fundraising scare you. You will be shocked at the people who support the mission you are raising money for.”
