‘Crazy times!’— Everyday ministry in Turkana during pandemic

This season of ministry has presented many unexpected challenges in Kenya, reports CMF team members Joel and Rachel Williams, but the family is using the opportunities that come their way to share the gospel in everyday ways.

Joel Williams helped a disciple-maker teammate build a desk for his daughter’s home- schooling work.

For example, Rachel has been baking bread for the family’s neighbors weekly and had the opportunity to teach one neighbor how to bake.

“Now, I am starting a Discovery Bible Study with many of the women in the neighborhood as a result of my conversations over bread,” Rachel said.

“Joel, also, has been given unexpected everyday opportunities like helping neighbors with their chickens, building a desk for one of our disciple-makers to use for their kid’s schooling at home and teaching guitar to a neighbor,” she added.

“Even in the seemingly mundane, God can use our gifts and talents in amazing ways,” said Rachel. “Join us in praying for the seeds that have been planted.”
