Days for Girls is an international ministry for girls and women that advances menstrual equity, health, dignity and opportunity for all by providing menstrual kits, health education and social entrepreneurship.
In the mid-1980s, the Turkana people in Kenya were an unreached people group who were resistant to the life-changing message of the gospel.
Thanks to CMF’s faithful partners, however, the ministry has grown from a handful of disciples to a church-planting movement with thousands of new disciples, to a disciple-making/church- planting movement over the past three years.
In honor of International Women’s Day 2020 today, we are sharing this story about two CMF team members, Rachel Williams and Caitlin Pitts, who are making a difference in the lives of young women in Turkana, Kenya.
A Turkana woman has completed the certification training to make Days for Girls menstrual hygiene kits in Nairobi, Kenya, and opened her own workshop in Napusimoru, according to CMF team member Caitlin Pitts.
