CCTSI

Your gift will provide classroom instruction and opportunities for Indonesian students of the Christian Church Theological School of Indonesia. And, in turn, they will reap a harvest of souls for the kingdom of God.

Christian Church Theological School of Indonesia
Recognizing the ready harvest in Indonesia, CMF began ministering on Java in 1978. Our work began with other Christian church/church of Christ missionaries in sharing the Gospel with the world’s most populous Muslim-majority nation.

As churches were planted and growing, the missionaries developed a leadership training program in 1984 named the Christian Church Theological School of Indonesia (CCTSI). Land was purchased in the late 1980s, and a campus with classrooms, dorms, multi-purpose area, library, and offices was established in Salatiga. Classes began in the early ‘90s.  Over the years missionaries and Indonesian leaders have provided the administration and teaching. During the three- to four-year program at CCTSI, students learn basic Bible principles that prepare them for effective ministry. Emphasis is placed on each student’s own spiritual growth, as well as how to disciple others, with many opportunities to minister in area village churches on weekends. They learn how to win others to Christ and how to begin evangelistic Bible studies leading to the formation of a new church, which they must do prior to graduation.

Over the past 25 years, 185 students have graduated, most with a BTh degree. Students come from all over Indonesia, and are sent out into places in their nation and in surrounding countries where the Gospel has not been heard.

Mountainview International Christian School (MICS)
MICS was developed through the efforts of missionaries in the 1970s and ‘80s to meet their children’s educational needs. Missionary families and business leaders from many nations send their children to MICS for an excellent education. MICS “partners with parents, sending agencies, the Christian community and the Church to train up and educate children in a Christ-centered environment at an affordable cost.” The teachers at Mountainview also minister directly to the students from both business and mission families of many nationalities, discipling Christian students. They also reach out to those from non-Christian backgrounds, many of whom come to know Jesus. God is using the school to bless the students as they prepare to face the challenges ahead of them and to impact their world for Christ.
