April

Your Church and AIDS Conference
April 19, in Indianapolis, sponsored by CMF and FAME.
• Pray that the speakers will communicate clearly the need and the response toward HIV/AIDS in Indiana, the US, and the world.
• Pray that churches and Christians will be challenged to join the fight against HIV/AIDS.

WORLDWIDE
• Pray for all of our missionaries as they seek ways to live and do ministry with the falling value of the dollar, difficult exchange rates, and high inflation almost everywhere.
• Pray for God’s provision and abundance for the missionaries’ families and their ministries.
• Pray that missionaries’ financial partners will understand the need and respond by increasing support levels.

KENYA
• Praise God for stability and a process that will lead to a uniting of the country and its people. Pray for continued peace, and that many will know “the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
• Pray that the Kenyan parliament will pass a new constitution according to the agreement signed.
• Pray that the tax exemptions formerly granted to missionaries in Kenya will be reinstated. They have all been cancelled, and missionaries are expecting between $8,000 to $20,000 income rates in addition to the 16% sales tax.
• Pray for internally displaced people who are afraid to go back to where they fled from. Pray that they will find places where they can settle and be accepted. Thank God for those who have offered food, blankets, and other supplies to these people.
• Pray for the brand new church that meets at the Hope Center in Pangani. It is mostly made up of people who have come to Christ in the last year. Pray that they will continue to be hungry for the Word. Pray that they will reach out to their neighbors, especially the ones who have been so affected by the violence in Kenya. There is such an openness to Jesus right now in these neighborhoods. Pray that the Church will continue to respond.
• Pray for two new Hope Centers that have just been opened in Madoya and Mathare North. Both of these areas have been heavily affected by the ethnic violence. The people are traumatized. Pray that the Centers will be a beacon of God’s light in very dark neighborhoods.
• Pray for the church at Kosovo. They are focusing on church planting in the areas that Hope Centers have been opened. Pray that they will have great wisdom in choosing leaders. Pray that God will raise up Church Planters, who are listening to Him and following His will.

IVORY COAST
• Pray for continued stability for the country and the many factions trying to keep the peace.
• Pray for the church leaders as they go through an HIV awareness training. Pray that they will help their churches to get involved in HIV/AIDS ministry.

ETHIOPIA
• Pray that the new reading room will be a point of positive impact for the Muslim neighborhood in which one missionary lives. Pray that discipleship with children in the neighborhood would begin to grow deeper.

TANZANIA
• A new cycle of training of church planters began on February 27 with graduation planned for June 13. Pray for the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of each family. Pray for God’s provision of resources to completely fund this cycle of training. Pray that each family will hear God clearly and submit totally to His will as they develop their strategy for church planting.

GLOBALSCOPE CAMPUS MINISTRY
• Spain: April 18-20 is the En Vivo Spring Retreat. Pray for record-breaking attendance and for wisdom for our speakers (a married couple from the local church in Salamanca) as they share with students over the weekend.
• Spain: Pray for the students involved in En Vivo’s leadership groups, that they would take more and more ownership of the ministry here and catch.
• Chile: Pray for the new discipleship groups, which meet on Tuesday nights, that the students would learn more about servant leadership and what it means to be a disciple of Christ.
• Chile: Pray for the team’s efforts to reach out to new freshman and build a community among them in El Oasis.

Pray THAT THE LORD WILL SEND more workers for the harvest!
