Andrew and Kate are so excited to be part of the team to pioneer a new Globalscope campus ministry in Edinburgh, Scotland. They have seen that the Scottish students are very much in need of people to earnestly show God’s love through their actions, words, and relationships, and can’t wait to be a part of it.
A closer look
Andrew was born and raised in Fitzgerald, GA, and graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in May 2010 with a computer science degree. Kate was born in Leamington, England, lived from age 11 in Roswell, GA, and graduated from Georgia Tech in May 2010 with an industrial design degree. Andrew and Kate met at Georgia Tech Christian Campus Fellowship (CCF), began dating as sophomores, and married in June 2011. CCF is where God became a very real part of both of their lives. As students, they spent 5 years in the ministry in various leadership roles, taking every opportunity to reach out to younger students and learn more about God. They both studied abroad with Globalscope: Andrew in Spain, Kate in Chile. After graduating, they interned at CCF. There was no way to anticipate how much their intern year would help form them as campus ministers, impact their relationship together, and make their hearts overflow for students.
