My time serving here in Abengourou is already at the halfway mark! Now that my formal language lessons are over, most of my time is spent working with the child sponsorship program, Coeur Ouvert, which means “open heart” in French.
Nick Dunn is a nurse with CMF’s team in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He manages a hospice team run by CMF partner Strong Hearts in the urban slums. The team of three nurses and a Public Health Officer (nurse practitioner) provide home care to the dying poor in a 20-mile radius of Kore, a sub-city of Addis Ababa.

Adventurous traveler and grandmother Julie Ronde is living proof that you don’t have to be a college student to make an impact as a CMF intern abroad! Julie spent nearly two months working with CMF team members in an Asian country. She worked primarily with Muslim women who are learning to support their families with sewing businesses.
