In Concepción, you’ll find Vic & Pam deLeón
focusing on both the working class and the middle class of
that large city. They guide the Boca Sur church, in a poorer
area of Concepción, which is on the verge of being
totally Chilean led and constructing a new church building/community
outreach center. Pam uses scrapbooking classes as a unique
way of building relationships with middle and upper class
women who are drawn to this new hobby. They envision small
groups and church plants growing out of these relationships.
Vic spends a good deal of time in working with national pastors
to create a leadership training program for churches of all
sizes throughout the country. Evangelists, church planters,
and Bible teachers would be most welcome team members for
the deLeóns.
For
university students all around Santiago, Chile’s capital,
El Oasis is the place to be almost any day of the week. Mark Jackson, Jessica Duckett, Lukas Fortunato, Elisabeth Nelson, Andrew Mosby, and Whitney Turner are the campus ministers for this 5-year-old outreach, teamed with interns and US exchange students. The El Oasis campus house hosts Monday
Night Devotional Dinner and Thursday Night Bible Study, worship,
karaoke, fun with friends, and opportunities for prayer.
